Atlantic Shellfish started in 1997 by purchasing, grading and selling wild caught oysters and quahogs. Today, Atlantic Shellfish is still purchasing, grading and selling wild caught oysters but has also expanded into cultivated oysters.
We cultivate our own brands of oysters both on the bottom and using off-bottom technology. We operate by maintaining one holding lease, nine bottom cultivation leases, and three off-bottom cultivation leases on PEI. We also develop partnerships with other growers in PEI, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
