King Lake Farms has been growing hops since 2001. We currently grow Cascade, Centennial, and Williamette hops. The farm purchased the first Wolf Hop Harvester in 2006. We harvest, process/pellet, and package our own hops, and we offer those services to other farms across Ontario. Our finished product can be tasted in many small-batch beers throughout Ontario, including those made by The Railway City Brewing Co. I also offer consulting services.
Wholesale Hop Rhizomes sales are also available for the three varieties that are currently grown.
GINSENG
This highly sought root is believed to be a stress reducing, energy boosting, blood sugar regulating lake farms ginseng buyers are primarily overseas. Customer relations – We harvest at the three and four year mark and are continuing to plant more ginseng every year using entirely own seed.
RYE
We grow certified rye. We harvest the seed and bale the straw which is used by the farm, keeping low carbon footprint. We use our own seed.
